About Us
At Tumble Jungle Preschool, we believe in the development of the whole child and aim to have each child develop a lifetime love of learning.
Established in 2016, Mountain West Gymnastics Academy introduced Tumble Jungle Preschool as part of its growing family. Tumble Jungle Preschool was created so children could have the best of two worlds: the rigor of an academic preschool and the fun of a gymnastics class.
We believe preschool children learn best in an active learning environment and with regular changes in activities. This is why we combine play and other creative methods to help reinforce learning and promote retention of information.
Many studies prove that children learn better when they're active. Below are a few studies that demonstrate the value of activities and play in a child's learning.
-
Research shows that active kids are stronger learners.
-
Play is so essential to the well-being and development of children, that the United Nations recognizes it as a fundamental human right, on par with the rights of proper shelter and education.
-
Peter Gray, psychology professor emeritus at Boston College, says, “If we love our children and want them to thrive, we must allow them more time and opportunity to play, not less,”
-
Jack Shonkoff, Director of the Center on the Development of Children at Harvard University said, "Play is one of the most important ways in which children learn."
